Professional

USPTA Professionals must be at least 18 years old, pass the on-court and written portions of the exam, and complete Stage 1 and 2 of Coach Youth Tennis. They should be able to organize and implement most tennis programs, assist with and develop competitive players, and assist with and/or direct pro shop management and facility maintenance. Depending on the person’s experience, a USPTA Professional’s job description may range from assistant pro to head tennis professional. USPTA Professionals are required to earn 6 credits every three years to maintain their membership.

My name is James MacGibbon I am presently the Maple Grove Boys and Girls JV tennis coach been involved in the program for four years.  I also am instructor at the summer camp at Maple Grove High School that takes place for eight weeks during the months of June and July.  I played and lettered 4 years at St.Cloud State University and still actively play in local leagues and tournaments.  I regulary attend clinics put on by the usta every year with the latest information on instruction also have literature and cd's as well as dvd's that help me in my instruction so I can keep up to date on the latest and greatest.  My goal as instructor is to teach the fundamentals correctly and as efficiently as possible and to make it fun and enjoyable so one wants to comeback for more.   I am familiar with all levels of instruction and can adapt to whatever level your at and take you to the level you so desire.  My cell is 952-381-4057 or E-mail jmacgibbon@aol.com I want to be a valuable resource for your game please feel free to contact me at your convience.  Jim MacGibbon
